Gutters & Downspouts: New World
New world gutter is a high quality copper half round system that has been used in Europe for a long time. The standard material is 18-ounce copper, so it is slightly heavier than the standard half round copper gutter. What sets this apart from the standard is the brackets, they are made from 3/16” thick copper and are 1” wide, with a strengthening bead in the middle. They come in both fascia and roof mount brackets. Because of their thickness, roof mount brackets are installed before the roofing material and must either be routered into the roof boards or the roof has to be built-up in-between the brackets. It also comes with some cool accessories like round ends and fancy outlets for the downspouts. Downspouts are plain round and have laser welded seams, which looks nice and functions well with this system. Other downspouts can also be used with this system.
